‘Uh Huh Okay’ is the new single by triple threat producer, singer-songwriter and DJ Emmavie. Always expressing the most complex parts of herself through making music, the ROMderful produced ‘Uh Huh Okay’ is a flirtatious R&B track, layered with soulful guitars and rhythmic percussion and led by the North-West Londoner’s soulful vocals, which she explains “Teases my love interest by painting romantic images with playful and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.” ‘Uh Huh Okay’ is the first track to be taken from Emmavie’s forthcoming EP, released independently later this summer.
We know it’s been little while since our last spotify playlist update but we’ve come back lovely goodies to keep you going throughout the week. With new music from, Emmavie new album titled, ‘Honeymoon’ who featured in our round of new music a couple weeks back.

Emmavie has worked with some well-renowned artists in both the UK and internationally, from IAMNOBODI, Budgie, ROMderful, Jarreau Vandal, Dornik, Alfa Mist, Barney Artist and Jay Prince. Drawing influences from 90s RnB, funk, and Hip Hop, she enjoys experimenting with sounds, and blending that with more traditional styles. Her latest single ‘Distractions’, follows on from her earlier release titled High Off This, which will from part of her debut album ‘Honeymoon’ through Fresh Selects.
The silky synth chords form beautifully around her voice, whilst the clever breaks sample loop during transitions is a great addition to the track. Lyrically, Emmavie opens up very candidly and speaks of passionate intimate relationship which she struggles to break away from when it’s time to put focus on herself. DTSoul accompanying vocals lifts the track wonderfully, nicely experimenting with the audio it gives the track a very contemporary future RnB feel.
