Belgian Alt-R&B duo Yellowstraps team up with French rapper Nelick for “Frissions”

Off the back of their EP Goldress, acclaimed Belgian alternative R&B duo YellowStraps continue to inspire despite the lockdown with their latest single “Frissons” featuring French rapper Nelick. Downtempo synths and relaxed baseline serve as the bedrock for their latest R&B-tinged effort. Performed entirely in French, “Frissons” comes to life as a sweet summer-love song. A tale of the complexities of new love between two young adults, which Nelick narrates with the poise befitting of a Yellowstraps cut.

“Frissons” is the first official single of the Yellockdown Project – the brainchild of Yellowstraps. Yvan and Alban challenged themselves to release one track per week, every week, featuring a different artist and written in 24 hours – which the new video shows.

New Music: Electronic Jazz Fused Belgium Group, John Ghost Release Their New Single, Time/Traveller

The Belgium based jazz group, John Ghost seem to draw influences from jazz, rock and post-classical music, where minimalism, electronics and a cinematic atmosphere characterize their instrumental music.

Formed in 2010, John Ghost were nominated for the ‘Young Jazz Talent’ Award at the prestigious Gent Jazz Festival the same year, and a series of shows followed including the International Jazz Festival Middelburg, in the Netherlands. After a brief hiatus, they released their 2016 album ‘For A Year They Slept’, to critical acclaim across Belgium, and they have been busy in the studio once again, developing and honing their sound.

The band are pleased to share new single ‘Time//Traveler’ taken from their new album ‘Airships Are Organisms’, released 27^th September via Sdban Ultra.

NEWS: Psychedelic infused Belgium based Jazz Group – Black Flower Announce New LP Release Set for the 12th April

With a hybrid jazz based on African grooves, Ethio-oriental melodies and psychedelic dub, Belgian five-piece Black Flower create an atmosphere where ancient and modern sounds fuse into a powerful, hypnotic and groovy sensations. 

Receiving critical acclaim for their second album ‘Artifacts’ (2017), the Belgian quintet are pleased to announce the release of their much-anticipated third album entitled ‘Future Flora’, released 12^th April via Sdban Ultra. Black Flower have received radio support from BBC Radio 6 (Gilles Peterson), BBC Radio 3 (Late Junction) and Worldwide FM.
