East London based jazz pianist Ashley Henry teams up with long time friend and fellow musician, Sparkz. The pair have been making music together for nearly a decade, having first met at university in Leeds.
Ashley’s talents haven’t gone unnoticed with his future firmly paved for success, having just returned from a year long tour with Christine and The Queens as her keys player, as well as, opening for Loyle Carner’s UK tour in April.
Speaking on his influences Ashley mentions, “My music is a straight up reflection of who I am; London in all its mixed up glory. The immigrant in me has musical roots that are traced back to the 1600s, so it’s important my music today reflects that jazz alpha narrative across different genres and generations”
