The magnificent African Head Charge first connected back in 1981 with the studio wizardry of Adrian Sherwood on the hand to steer the percussion talents of Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah. Together they produced one the first psychedelic African dub LP titled ‘My Life In A Hole in The Ground’.
It wasn’t until the late 1980s in which that African Head Charge made their first appearance as a live band going on to perform performances at festivals such as Glastonbury and Womad, and visits to Australia, New Zealand and Japan
Fast forward to 2016 with their music spreading across the world, and with it becoming increasingly sought after by DJs and collector through the reissuing of their first four albums on to Vinyl. On-U Sound have now released one their unreleased track ‘Peace and Happiness’
