The magnificent African Head Charge first connected back in 1981 with the studio wizardry of Adrian Sherwood on the hand to steer the percussion talents of Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah. Together they produced one the first psychedelic African dub LP titled ‘My Life In A Hole in The Ground’.

It wasn’t until the late 1980s in which that African Head Charge made their first appearance  as a live band going on to perform performances at festivals such as Glastonbury and Womad, and visits to Australia, New Zealand and Japan

Fast forward to 2016 with their music spreading across the world, and with it becoming increasingly sought after by DJs and collector through the reissuing of their first four albums on to Vinyl. On-U Sound have now released one their unreleased track ‘Peace and Happiness’

UK dub godfather and owner and founder of the iconic On-U Sound label, Adrian Sherwood presents a live audio/visual show celebrating his 35-year adventure with the Mighty Upsetter, Lee “Scratch” Perry.

Adrian Sherwood and Lee “Scratch” Perry’s most recent collaborations came in 2019, where they released two albums 6 months apart, ‘Rainford’ at the end of May and the dub versions ‘Heavy Rain’, the latter of which went straight to #1 on the Billboard Reggae charts (the former entering at #2).

Featuring visuals from long-time Perry collaborator Peter Harris, this is a not-to-be-missed live sonic adventure with newly announced supports coming from DJ and producer Gaudi and guest MC the great Daddy Freddy.

“Someone once described me as just a fan who’d got his hands on a mixing desk, they were probably trying to be nasty, but I took it as a compliment – that’s exactly what I am!” – Adrian Sherwood
